• UGRAD Program: The Eurasian Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) provides opportunities for current first-, second-, and third-year undergraduate students to spend one academic year of non-degree study in a US university or community college.
  
  The Eurasian Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and administered by IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board).

• The Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program: The Muskie program provides opportunities for Master's level study in the United States. Muskie also provides limited opportunities for doctoral study of approximately four years in the United States.
  
  The application and instructions for the Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program will be available on-line October 1, 2005. The application deadline will be this fall; the exact date of the deadline will be indicated on the instructions and application. Applications will also be available at the Educational Information Centers (EIC) and at Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) Public Access Sites throughout Ukraine. American Councils throughout the world www.americancouncils.org American Councils is the worldwide leader in connecting people from the US, Eastern Europe and Eurasia to learning and to each other. How do we accomplish this? In many ways. We operate study-abroad programs for students, education professionals, independent travellers and local leaders. We perform research, publish books and develop Web sites. We serve an institutional role by holding conferences, administering standardized tests, managing information centers and acting as a consultant to governments. We develop and advocate policy on language education around the world. American Councils Ukraine first opened its doors in Ukraine in 1992. Since then American Councils has administered numerous programs sponsored by the US Government, developed projects in civil society building and contributed to the development of standardized testing in Ukraine. Our staff of seasoned professionals is trained to serve the Ukrainian public in the field of educational exchanges between the US and Ukraine.

Open World Program	November 30, 2005	69.5 KB
The Open World Program, authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1999 as the Russian Leadership Program, brings young emerging political and civic leaders to the United States for short-term stays. Typically 10-day visits focus on a particular theme of interest. In 2005, Open World will invite up to 200 participants from Ukraine to visit the United States under the theme "civil society." Areas of concentration under this theme include support for an independent media, NGO development, and rule of law.
